Papi Corey The DJ Presents & Reviews His Compilation Mixtape "Oh Thats Hard Vol. 1"

Wassup, it's Papi Corey The DJ and thank you for reading this if you are, and I advise you to listen to the mixtape (below) while you read this review. In this section I will list all twenty songs and rank them on a scale of 1-10. Before I do this I want to thank everybody artist that participated in making my first mixtape a great listen. Every artist on this mixtape excluding the features from A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie & Don Q are from either Louisiana or Atlanta. I will put where they're from on the list. Here it goes.

 1. Mista Cain (Baton Rouge, LA) - Dat Iron
I only chose this to be the intro because I had talked to Mista Cain's manager, and I was supposed to get a drop from him. If you don't know Mista Cain is one of the hottest artist in Louisiana, he's a boss and him being on the intro to my mixtape was simply an attention grabber. People like this song but myself I'll rate it a 6 out of 10.

2. Tino Quick (Shreveport, LA) - Put On A Show
This is a big favorite among the listeners. It’s my personal favorite because when I told myself I was going to come with a mixtape I started with this song I love it. The original song had two other rappers on it, but I love Tino Quick voice, the sound of his music, and just believe he got what it takes to make it. This is my favorite song of his so I did a little editing and help make it the song you hear on this tape. I rate this song a 10.5 out of 10 just because of the beat, the lyrics and the flow is flawless.

3. Bankroll Fresh (Atlanta, GA) - Local Trap Star
I literally came across this song while finishing my tape about to submit it and had to have it on the tape. I liked it so much I switched positions of the song because the other Bankroll song on this tape was going to be # 3 but I felt this song was better. Simple player made lines like “I can see the spot from the condo, I can see the condo from the spot up top” impress me because, its like its simple but true and he’s not trying to hard he just spitting game. I rate this song a 8.9 out of 10, only reason I don’t give it an 9 is because of the sound quality of the song.

4. Mvgvzine (Shreveport, LA) - Pack In/Trafficking
Mvgvzine is my favorite artist from my city [Shreveport, LA] right now. He has the sound, the look, and just the it factor. Pack In is my personal favorite of his but it features another rapper who is also on the mixtape “Pookie Montana.” I edited Pookie out of the song but his verse on that song is hard! I also added a few adlibs earphones preferred on this song, and I feel I did a good job, but anyway that song is a BANGER! Followed by the full version of Trafficking look out for that video it was shot and directed by Director King Von. I rate Pack In a 10 out of 10 & Trafficking gets a 9 out of 10, for me. Zine up next!

5. Money Man (Atlanta, GA) - Tempting
Money Man is getting a lot of buzz in the streets with his trio of Black Circle mixtapes and lead single “Boss Up.” This song Tempting is on Black Circle 2, and gets slept on a lot. For Money Man to strictly be a trap rapper I felt he was talking that talk on this song, I enjoy the hook. This song just gives a cool vibe while he’s really rapping about something I rate it a 7 out of 10.

6. Street Money Boochie (Atlanta, GA) - Streeet ft. Bankroll Fresh
This is Street Money Worldwides’ Boochie lead single right now. The song initially caught attention with a snippet of it with 22 Savage being featured on it rapping at his best. That video can still be seen on his Instagram. I love the hook to this song A LOT! I rate this song a 8 out of 10.

7. Landstrip Chip (Atlanta, GA) - Flat Shoals
You have no knowledge of Atlanta if you don’t know what Flat Shoals Ave is. Chip is an upcoming rapper with ties to almost everybody hot out of Atlanta right now. This song can be found on his mixtape Cruise Control hosted by DJ Swamp Izzo & DJ X Rated. The bounce to this song along with the lyrical content makes me rate this song a 9 out of 10.

8. Fly Guy Boo (Shreveport, LA) - 16 Ounces
This is one of those songs I was not going to release my mixtape without. I practically begged for this song because of the beat and content of the song knowing I was dropping a trap mixtape. The song is extremely believable and relate-able to those who lead that lifestyle I rate this song a 9 out of 10.

 9. Tuwopp (Shreveport, LA) - Pull Up ft. Mvgvzine
Speaking of begging. Not practically I literally begged for this song after hearing a snippet of it on Facebook. Tuwopp formely known as Yung Test is one of the hottest rapper in Shreveport. The song wasn’t nowhere near finished but I did a little editing because I had to use it. Shout out to Mvgvzine for getting me this song. I love this song and the only reason I don’t give it a perfect 10 is because the sound quality of the song. So therefore I give this song a 9 out of 10.

10. @RatchetCityLurch (Shreveport, LA) - Interlude
Shout out to one of the funniest guys on Instagram for going out his way to give me a snippet of his talent I love this interlude.

11. Ratchet Life (Shreveport, LA) - Play Me/On A Jose
Like I said at the end of this song Ratchet Life is the hottest rapper coming out of North Louisiana they love him there. I showed both sides of Life with these two songs to showcase his ability to make a banger, but also show his true artistry to make TRUE quality street music. Play Me is cool but to make a song like On A Jose you have to live that you can’t go in the booth and make up something that feel so real. On A Jose makes you want to put money on all your homies books, and make you feel like you could just be there for them more. I rate Play Me a 9 out of 10, and rate On A Jose 11 out of 10, that is obviously one of my favorites off the tape.

12. Hollywood Ezzy (Shreveport, LA) - Playin Wit
This song isn’t available on the DatPiff version due to me not having the mp3 to the song. This song is super Louisiana, and I had to put him on this tape one of the realist rappers in the city. The content of most his music is heart touching but I felt this song fit more for this tape. Plus we from the same hood shout out to Hollywood, Shreveport, Louisiana. I rate this song a 7 out of 10.

 13. Young Scooter (Atlanta, GA) - Diamonds ft. A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie & Don Q
Just to make this an official trap mixtape I had to get Mr. Count Up on this tape with his blessing. How could you have a trap mixtape without the flexing element to it ? I rate this song 6.5 out of 10.

 14. Peewee Longway (Atlanta, GA) - Master Peewee
For this mixtape to be a Louisiana, Atlanta connection this song was a must have. This is a Master P - Ice Cream man remake the Peewee Longway version. I love this song, and with the trapped out lyrical content and flow I rate it a 9 out of 10. Just for a heads up to my Louisiana listeners when he say he is lacing his youngins up with “Bomb, Bomb, Bombs” that is Atlanta slang for a sack of dope.

15. Pookie Forever or Pookie Montana (Shreveport, LA) - Forever Trill Anthem
I love this song strictly off the sample of the BG song Cash Money Is A Army, this is good quality Louisiana music. When you see Pookie Montana you’ll say yourself he’s either a basketball player or a rapper he got the look he seems to still be discovering a definitive sound but he got what it takes to make it. I love this song I rate it a 10 out of 10.

 16. Bankroll Fresh (Atlanta, GA) - Truth Be Told
This is Bankroll lead single for his upcoming album In Bank We Trust. Bankroll is the most trapped out trap rapper to bubble in this last 10 or so years. He gives off a Jeezy vibe as to where he’s making REAL trap music for the streets putting you on game how the dope game is. May he live forever. I rate this particular song a 6 out of 10. Bankroll is my favorite rapper right now, and I feel like this song jam but it’s definitely one of my least favorites from him.

17. Moochie So (Shreveport, LA) - Gamble
Moochie So is one of the most slept on if not THE most slept on rapper from my city. Him being underrated may have a lot to do with him needing help with his branding but I have never heard him release a bad song. One of the most talented song makers in the south he deserves recognition. This is one of my Top 5 favorites off this tape I rate this song a 9.5 out of 10 because, of the vibe and content of the song.

18. WNC Whop Bezzy (Baton Rouge, LA) - Freestyle
Whop Bezzy is one of the hottest young rappers coming out of Baton Rouge, and is known for his high energy level song, but I love this song because it shows his versatility and rapping ability. I rate this song a 8.5 out of 10.

19. Yung Kooda (Shreveport, LA) - Red
With this being one of the hottest songs in the city I had to get this on my tape. This young guy has a nice sound and flow. He’s a gangsta rapper with a relate-able vibe that can appeal to anybody when they listen to his songs they’ll find themselves saying, “Hell Yeah” because that's what his music does. Spark the real nigga in you in a sense. I love this particular song I rate it a 9 out of 10 because the hook is catchy, the beat is sick, it’s just a damn good song, and very relate-able in this day in age when every time you look up someone is perpetrating to be a blood.

20. Lil Snupe (Jonesboro, LA) - #LongLiveSnupe
With this mixtape just being full of the real, and being so Louisiana I had to get the freestyle king. This song isn’t available on the Spinrilla version due to copyright reasons. I did some editing on two different Snupe songs to make one and I LOVE IT! I rate this song a 12 out of 10. This is the highest rated song of the tape. May Snupe rest in peace but also Live Forever! Oh Thats Hard!
